New Whirlpool Duet Washer 2010

Here are exclusive photos of the new Whirlpool Duet washer, I will share as much info on what the picture tells me since there are no articles from Whirlpool about them.

This is the new look of the Whirlpool Duet Washer and Dryer… Looks like an LG, but so far I believe its still their own engineering.

A close up View of the Console, FanFresh Technology has moved on to the next generation of Duets.

There are specialty cycles, from reading about the new Whirlpool Vantage series washer and dryer on their corporate website they range from stuff animals to exercise clothes.

As you can see there is a drum light added to the washer! Finally! Personally I like lights inside of the washer, makes them look cool!

Precision Dispense, adds the right amount of soap needed for each load saving you lots of money.

The Precision Dispense is removable for easier cleaning.

As you can see this washer can hold up to 22 pairs of jeans in one load! Electrolux can fit about 19 pairs of jeans in one load. Not sure what the capacity is but it sure will be bigger than 4.7 cu. ft. (Electrolux tub size)

Direct Inject helps wet the load faster.

Low water levels, It seems to be no tilt to the drum. Past Duets always had a 45 deg. tilt to the wash tub. Through experience I find the tub sits on a complete horizontal axis, it cleans better.

if you notice, there are different holes in the tub, I believe this will help with gentleness on the clothes.

I wonder if this washer will have the same USB port to update the washer and make custom cycles.

This is from the Whirlpool Vantage series that is set to come out this month!

In case you didnt know what the Whirlpool Vantage series washer looked like, Here it is! pretty sweet looking!

    Hey Tom,

These new units are designed and engineered by Whirlpool. Also, they are going to be Whirlpool’s first front-load washers assembled in the United States.

Expect to see the three models built off of this new platform hit retail stores this month (Oct. 2010).

I will be buying a new w/d set soon, and hope to find a really great buy on “Black Friday.” I know I have to get to the stores early in the morning, but worry about finding something at a great price that isn’t a quality machine. It is just me, and although I am more interested in getting the right pair, anything over 27″ deep will start to stick out.

    My questions:
    1) Do you have any suggestions for making these quickie decisions?
1a) Do you know who (what store/chain) historically has the best offerings on this day? I live in LA.
    2) Do you know of anything that is planned to go on sale at this time?
    3) Are they really solving that door mold problem?

    Thanks a million-kazillion,

Besides the five questions in the above post, is there anythihg else I should be thinking about?

Will it make any difference if I have cash-dollars to make the purchase?

Sorry it took so long to get back to ya.

I would recomomend Bosch washers and Dryers… Im sure you have bought something already, but most front loaders are pretty good out there these days.. although Bosch seems to perform best. The mold problem is pretty much solved. I would suggest keeping the door open for at least 24 hours after the wash is done.

    Hey thanks!

How do you know this? are you in the appliance industry or work for whirlpool?
